Meet the Team
David L. Parker
David L. Parker, founder of The Parker Law Firm, David L. Parker, PC, brings more than 30 years of experience to his legal practice. Representing those accused of crimes of all types and degrees, Mr. Parker is a force to be reckoned with in the courtroom. Not only has he represented clients in the Valley and throughout Virginia, but he has also represented many clients in federal courts across the United States and abroad.
As a criminal defense attorney, Mr. Parker represents clients charged with DUI/DWI, misdemeanors, felonies, weapon charges, drug offenses, traffic offenses, assault and more. Additionally, as a personal injury attorney, Mr. Parker represents clients who have been injured in traumatic vehicle accidents and victimized by the death of a family member. He represents clients with cases including car, truck and motorcycle accidents; wrongful death claims; and commercial vehicle liability claims. Mr. Parker also instructs business students at James Madison University teaching White Collar Crime, The Legal and Ethical Environment of Business, and International Business Law classes.
Mr. Parker graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in 1986 with Honors and from the University of Richmond’s T. C. Williams School of Law in 1989. He also holds a LLM from The U.S. Army Judge Advocate’s School. Mr. Parker is veteran of the U.S. Army having served 23 years on active duty and in the Virginia National Guard as an Infantry Officer and JAG Officer. He served combat tours in both Iraq and Kosovo.
Mr. Parker is a member of the Harrisonburg Bar Association, the Virginia Bar Association, and the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is a member of the United States Supreme Court Bar, the Virginia State Bar, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit.
Tara M. Senn, Esq.
I have been licensed to practice law in Tennessee and Virginia since 2011. I attended the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2007 and earned my J.D. from the Cecil C. Humpreys School of Law at the University of Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee in 2011. I am currently a member of several different legal organizations, such as the Virginia Bar Association, the Virginia Family Law Section of the Bar, and the Virginia Criminal Defense League. I have been employed as an Associate Attorney with David L. Parker, P.C. since 2012 and concentrate my practice on criminal and traffic defense, civil litigation, and family law. Previously, I worked in Tennessee at the Elder Law Clinic of the Memphis Legal Aid Office providing representation to lowincome senior citizens on matters of civil debt collection, wills and powers of attorney, guardianships,and family law. Since 2013, I have also been teaching a course on Business Law every semester as an adjunct professor for the College of Business at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
